Stephen travelled down to Blackpool to visit his first weekender and entered the Northern Soul WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP dance competition

He got through the first rounds, 
eventually getting into the last two
After the final dance they could not decide on the 
crowd clapping to choose the winner !
KEV ROBERTS had EUGENE THOMAS lead singer of 
EPITOME of SOUND 
on the dancefloor and gave him the honour of choosing the winner
